Achieve Math Program - (Kumon-Plus)

What is it and why Achieve Math?

Achieve Math is a math learning system combining and utilizing methods and techniques that have been used by Kumon Math, Math Monkey, Mathnasium and other math learning systems. It is known as a Kumon-Plus program.

Start from a comfortable point Success is the goal of a student. Student need to feel the success at the beginning to establish confidence. An assessment test will let the instructor to set the starting point to where the student will not have knowledge gap in the future.

Individualized Learning Pace   The instructor sets unique goals for a student, based on the student's ability, so the learning pace is just right - makes the student feels neither frustrating nor boring.

Small and gradual steps  The instructor guides students to discover their own ability to tackle new concepts and overcome learning hurdles by themselves.  Students progress in steady but very small, manageable increments, independently.

Practice and practice, everyday  The student practice for a short period of time everyday. It gives them disciplined study habits, helps them maintain momentum, and provides the motivation and and confidence that come from frequent small victories.

Repetition makes it instinct   The worksheets, in one booklet per week, utilizes repetition combined with subtle variations and very gradual advancement. Students master concepts by applying them again and again, until they are locked in and become instinct when encountered. They don't forget what they've learned, so new knowledge is always built on a solid foundation.

One-on-one contact in class   Students receive 1-on-1 attention during the weekly class sessions. It provides individualized interaction with instructor and avoids communication difficulties typically happening in group programs and online programs.
